If you are a dog owner, you have no doubt experienced the frustration of excessive barking.
You may have tried yelling at the dog. We’ve all done it. It does NOT work. Maybe you tried on of those electric shock collars. They are not that effective either. (In my opinion, they are not humane either)
So how do you stop your barking dog?
We will look at some of the causes for excessive barking and refer you to several solutions to keep you and your best friend on good terms.
After all, if your dog continues barking and barking, whenever she feels like it, you might find yourself on the receiving end of an expensive fine. Your neighbors may come to despise you, simply because of your dog’s bad behavior. If you live in an apartment, you may even get an eviction notice, if you are unable (or unwilling) to correct the barking problem.
It’s important to remember what a dog trainer friend of mine once told me…
He said, “There are very few BAD dogs. Mostly BAD owners…” So to stop the barking dog problem, a permanent solution will include some owner training as well.
